General Description:

  • Working closely with customers, electrical design, assembly and project managers create designs and technical drawings
    for mechanical devices and equipment. Reviewing specifications and data to develop mechanical drawings and layouts.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare calculations on the proposed machine before completing technical drawings
  • Sketch and draw up designs using input from customers, engineers and architects on the team
  • Calculate factors like tolerance, dimensions, and thermal and structural analysis
  • Create designs in line with company procedure, regulations and client standards
  • Submit drawings to upper management and assembly teams
  • Use customer feedback and data to upgrade, improve or repair the company’s existing machines
  • Provide support during the building and installation process, ensuring that the machine is built properly and
    according to design specifications
  • Finalize designs and send prints to the production department

This is a 3 Month Contract may lead into Full-Time

General Purpose

Electrical machine builders are responsible to assemble, wire and install all electrical aspects of industrial machinery.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Typical duties will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electromechanical, electrical, and electronic components of machinery and equipment, including transformers, generators exciters, and hydraulic and pneumatic devices.
  • Individuals will be responsible for the assembly of control panels, cabinets, and sub-assemblies. Involves wiring, crimping working with wire harnesses.

Education & Experience 

  • Minimum of 3 years experience
  • Must have one of the following certifications
    • Degree in Electrical Technician related field from a certified college.
    • Certification in Electrical Technician field from an accredited institution.
  • Must be able to read prints and make changes on the fly, identify deficiencies with design
  • Knowledge of electrical code/electrical safety
  • Basic knowledge of machine wiring cable routing
  • Interconnecting methods etc.
  • Previous experience with control panel building
  • Basic hand and power tool knowledge

 Skills and Special Requirements:

  • Has common tools associated to Electrical Panel Building
  • Ability to travel within North America to support machine installation and start-up
  • Should be able to test, calibrate, diagnose, and repair various devices.
  • Maintain clean, safe working environment by following all health and safety procedures
  • Ability to identify and implement efficient paths of action to finish the assigned work.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain solid working relationships with others.
  • Good communication and organization skills.

Mill Operator

Title: Mill Operator Location: London, ON
Education: Post-Secondary Hours: 40
Experience/Proficiency: 4-5 years of related experience NOC:
Reports to: Manufacturing Manager Rev. Date: Feb 7, 2020
General Description:

  • Set up and operate manual Acu-Rite according to instructions and engineering drawings.

Skill/Effort Requirements:

  • Change tooling and wheels while making the proper offsets and setups as needed.
  • Interpret Blueprint Dimensions
  • Strong understanding of G M Codes and handheld inspection tools
  • Understand and flow of machining policies and instructions: MI, QSI, ISO, SOPs, work rules and safety guidelines
  • Experience machining components to tight tolerances and work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a team focus, and the ability to work in cross functional teams and develop collaborative relationships
  • Effective decision making and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure/stress to meet tight timelines and schedules

Responsibilities:

  • Must be available for all shifts
  • Meet schedules and maintain quality standards

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of General Machinist/Tool Maker Papers (preferred)
