Account Manager

Armo Tool Limited, one of the most respected sources for toolmaking and automation expertise, with a proven track record for turning “ideas into action”, is now seeking an Account Manager for our facilities in London. The successful candidate will promote and sell Armo Tool’s leading-edge engineering and manufacturing systems & solutions, products, and services to clients.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

 

  • Develop, and maintain an active sales funnel of assigned accounts, and update regularly
  • Engage with the client to win projects to achieve annual dollar sales targets and approved levels of margin for assigned accounts
  • Engage with the client on technical level to understand the client’s specific requirements and then in turn be able to present viable solutions
  • Work in partnership with Armo design teams, the relevant quoting team and the management to devise and present the optimum manufacturing/automation solution for clients
  • Act as first level customer liaison in all customer/company transactions and maintain high level of customer satisfaction, provide liaison support between the customer and the Project Manager(s) to mitigate conflict and crisis.
  • Ensure that Armo Tool is consistently positioned as the leading and premier automation, integration and manufacturing company

 

Education & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary diploma in manufacturing technology, engineering, business administration, or equivalent
  • Five to Ten years of direct sales experience selling industrial automation products or related capital goods such as precision tooling and machinery.

 

Skills and Special Requirements/Licensing:

 

  • Proven track record of selling custom designed automated manufacturing solutions into the Transportation (Automotive) industry or other relevant industries (Aerospace, Food & Beverage)
  • Demonstrated effective negotiation and strong closing skills, including the knowledge and experience in negotiation of contractual terms and conditions, including payment terms; damages, etc.
  • Strong presentation skills in order to present to internal stakeholders and existing and potential clients to sell technical concepts
  • Must possess an active network of contacts in the relevant markets segment or segments in order to leverage multiple sales opportunities
  • Experience in “solution and systems sales” of capital equipment or industrial automation
  • Must demonstrate the drive and motivation to sell and enjoy the challenge of selling in the industrial automation/manufacturing solutions industry
  • Must exhibit self-directedness, independence and an extremely proactive approach
  • Must be willing to travel frequently as required
  • Organized, flexible and self-driven.
  • Project a positive attitude when relating to all aspects and objectives pertaining to lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Able to maintain accurate and detailed records pertaining to specific events.

Project Manager

General Purpose

To be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

Armo Tool Limited, one of the most respected sources for toolmaking and automation expertise, with a proven track record for turning “ideas into action”, is now seeking a Tool and Die Maker / General Machinist for our facilities in London. This role will provide direct manufacturing support of our automation, tooling, and die departments.

General Description:

Set up and operate manual mills and drills grinders and all related machinery according to instructions and engineering drawings.

Position Requirements:

Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies

Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.

Visualize and compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of assemblies, based on specifications.

Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to cut, bore, grind, or otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes.

File, grind, shim, and adjust different parts to properly fit them together

Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand tools.

Measure, mark, and scribe metal or plastic stock to lay out machining, using instruments such as protractors, micrometers, scribes, and rulers.

Cut, shape, and trim blanks or blocks to specified lengths or shapes, using power saws, power shears, rules, and hand tools.

Design jigs, fixtures, and templates for use as work aids in the fabrication of parts or products.

Select metals to be used from a range of metals and alloys, based on properties such as hardness and heat tolerance.

Set up and operate drill presses to drill and tap holes in parts for assembly.

Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.

Smooth and polish flat and contoured surfaces of parts or tools, using scrapers, abrasive stones, files, emery cloths, or power grinders.

Lift, position, and secure machined parts on surface plates or worktables, using hoists, vises, v-blocks, or angle plates.

Responsibilities:

Meet schedules and maintain quality standards

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Completion of Tool and Die Maker or General Machinist Program (preferred)

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the development of lean/six sigma and other manufacturing projects and coordinating their implementation.
  • Sustain Lean projects and accomplishments.
  • Establish objectives and processes for continuous improvement for all levels of the organization.
  • Communicate the objectives and progress and prepare monthly reports.
  • Facilitate and drive NCR program at both manufacturing locations
  • Act as the key driver and leader for lean principles and activities throughout the facility.
  • Guide the staff on all measures under Lean and facilitate staff familiarity and ownership of all initiatives

Education & Experience

  • Technical degree in engineering or equivalent in related experience along with several years of progressive experience in Lean and continuous improvement activities.

Skills and Special Requirements/Licensing:

  • Ability to clearly communicate each level of the enterprise and its’ importance to developing strategic plans.
  • Must have a strong understanding of the daily shop floor activities/production.

General Purpose

Position requires sound comprehensive knowledge of design and drafting techniques, engineering drawing, CAD/graphics, and reading of drawings.  Responsible for developing concepts, completing designs, structures and plant arrangements while working both independently and as a part of a team.  Good knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and codes is preferred.

Looking for all levels: Junior, Intermediate and or Senior Designers. We also offer Co-Op placements.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Typical duties will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Use specialized software to create models and drawings of products (Key Creator, Solid Works, UG)
  • Research new materials and methods of development
  • Collects, reads, interprets, and uses related reference documents and drawings prepared by other disciplines, vendors, or outside sources.
  • Ensures compliance with approved design standards to provide quality design, safety, constructability, reliable operation, construction economy, and operating convenience.
  • Reviews and checks calculations, design models, drawings and design documents for quality, accuracy, neatness, functionality, and satisfactory completion.
  • Assists others with assembling bid, approval, and construction issue drawing packages (quoting).
  • Organize and maintain existing engineering records
  • Perform physical testing on engineering prototypes.
  • Availability to work both Weekends and travel for extended lengths of time (2 days to 2 weeks)
  • Availability to work day, afternoon and weekends as required as well as overtime

Education & Experience

  • Courses in drafting, design and engineering practices
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • College Diploma or University degree preferred.

Skills and Special Requirements/Licensing:

  • Knowledge of 2D / 3D CAD in mechanical design
  • Experience in working with multiple discipline projects.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Applications.
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication processes preferred

General Purpose

Construct, assemble, or rebuild machines used in manufacturing. Fit or assemble components or subassemblies. Install moving parts.  May test or assist in testing of completed product.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Typical duties will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Fastens components or parts together, using hand tools, rivet gun, and welding equipment.
  • Positions and aligns components for assembly, manually or with lifting device.
  • Reworks, repairs, and replaces damaged parts or assemblies.
  • Analyzes assembly blueprint and specifications manual and plans assembly or building operations.
  • Inspects and tests parts and accessories for leakage, defect, or functionality, using test equipment. (troubleshoot & debug)
  • Sets and verifies clearance of parts.
  • Verifies conformance of parts to stock list and blueprints, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Lays out and drills, reams, taps, and cuts parts for assembly.
  • Operates machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer’s specifications.
  • Removes rough spots and smooths surfaces to fit, trim, or clean parts or components, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Sets up and operates metalworking machines, such as milling and grinding machines, to shape or fabricate parts.
  • Maintains and lubricates parts and components.
  • Mark up/modify drawings
  • Fill out “Problem/Solution” Sheet
  • Install and Service machines

Education & Experience

  • Tool and Die Maker certification and several years of experience in the trade.

Skills and Special Requirements

  • Ability to identify and implement efficient paths of action to finish the assigned work.

  • Should be able to test, calibrate, diagnose, and repair various devices.
